Poem: Passage of Time

A drop of dew falls on a leaf

It quivers and gleams

And then slides onto the next leaf

pulsating not knowing what shape to take

slipping again onto another leaf

moving only slightly and again drops to the leaf below

just before the sun comes up

it reaches the last leaf
